C17300(CuBe2Pb) LEADED BERYLLIUM COPPER ALLOY INTRODUCTION:
Leaded beryllium copper is a high-performance alloy that combines the strength, electrical conductivity, and corrosion resistance of beryllium copper with the added machinability benefits of lead. This alloy is primarily used in industries that require high strength, precise machining, and the ability to withstand harsh environments. The incorporation of lead improves the machinability of beryllium copper, making it easier to process intricate and detailed components.
Beryllium copper itself is composed of copper and a small percentage of beryllium (typically 1.8% to 2.0%), giving it exceptional mechanical properties. When lead is added in small amounts (usually up to 0.5%), it enhances the alloy's ability to be machined, reducing tool wear and improving efficiency during production.
